English is a language that connects billions of people around the world. It is estimated that today about 2 billion people are using English to communicate. The ability to speak, read and write in English is essential for the success of our students in the Bagrut exams, and far beyond that.

Our goal is to prepare the students for their exams, and equally so, to build a foundation that will enable them to keep using the language in their academic studies, in their careers and in any other path that they will choose.

The English Bagrut grade is made up of a number of parts, or "Modules." They include reading comprehension tasks, a listening comprehension test, writing and speaking. There is also a literature module, which, according to the Ministry of Education, teaches students to "appreciate literature and other cultures, and develop linguistic awareness." Students read short stories, poems and a play, and become acquainted with some of the finestl literary works in English.

Our school offers a special program for advanced students, who take the Bagrut Exam in the 11^th grade.

The English teachers are invested in the success of our students. We offer assistance and guidance outside the regular lessons in tutorials, ((שיעורים פרטניים where students can further practice the material.

Dictionaries

As of this year, all students are allowed to use an electronic dictionary in their Bagrut exam.

Approved Electronic Dictionaries
Students are allowed to use both an electronic dictionary as well as a conventional dictionary.
